30th Anniversary Re-release

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, iconic 80s comedy Heathers was re-released this month following 4k restoration.

I saw the musical adaptation live last month at The Other Palace, (the show was amazing by the way and I highly recommend catching it at The London Theatre), so with Heathers already on my mind I couldn't resist when I saw that The Castle Cinema were doing a screening! 

Set in 1980s America, Heathers tells the story of Veronica, an intelligent teen whose group of popular mean-girl friends at college are ruining not only her "good-girl" reputation, but also her life. When she starts dating the mysterious, handsome and introverted JD, (played by Christian Slater), he helps her to break free of the clique, but things get out of hand.... Funny, frivolous and fabulously dressed, Heathers is a timeless dark comedy full of drama, teen-angst, witty humour and huge shoulder pads. If you haven't seen it already, add it to your watch list!!
